I have 2 Father’s Days cards to share with you this week, and then I’ll be adding a few “manly” projects after that. It’s all about the GUYS for the next few posts. Cards and projects that are suitable for gifting to the men in your life: dads, husbands, sons, uncles, nephews, boyfriends, pals or bosses - a little something for everyone.
But first, a card Dad…
My dad loves blue, so I started with the ColorBox Multi-Color At the Beach Inkpad. This pad has a set of colors that are not only perfect for sand and sea, but for MEN too! I The At the Beach inkpad has 2 browns, 2 blues and a peach ink {Parchment, Dune, Baby Blue, Colonial Blue and Chestnut} all in one compact container.
I decided to use only the blues and the browns, and I selected colors of cardstock that matched the shades of ink. I like to find different ways to use the 5 color pads; you can change the look of your stamped image just by changing how you place your stamp on the pad. For something a little different, I decided to place my stamp diagonally across the pad, using only four colors and avoiding the peach ink at the end {sorry Parchment – maybe next time}.
Here’s a closeup of the stamped background I created for the card…
And here are the supplies and directions you need to make this card for YOUR number one dad…
